Abhishek Bachchan receives Yash Bharti Award
	Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav conferred the prestigious ‘Yash Bharti’ award on Bollywood star Abhishek Bachchan , cricketer Mohammad Kaif, Dr Yogesh Praveen (historian), Dr Viveki Rai (teacher and litterateur), Rajiv Tomar (sportsman), Uday Pratap Singh (MP and writer), Shitla Singh and Vijay Kumar (both journalists) and Jagdish Kali Raman, Talukdar Yadav, Shaukildra Tomar (all wrestlers). All the 11 personalities who got this award in a glamorous function were given Rs. 5 lakh each and a citation. Since the inception of this coveted Yash Bharti award in 1994-95, as many as 54 eminent persons in a plethora of fields were awarded it. It needs mention that only those belonging to Uttar Pradesh, who has earned laurels for the state, are eligible for this award. The award ceremony was graced by the who’s who including Amitabh Bachchan , Jaya Bachchan, Amar Singh and other eminent personalities from varied walks of life. Amitabh Bachchan, his father Harivansh Rai Bachchan and his wife Jaya Bachchan have already received this award in the past.
