Thanjavur: The Indian Overseas Bank has done a business of Rs.1,01,000 crore till February this year all over the country and aims to do a business of Rs.1,15,000 crore before the end of this financial year, said K. Chandrasekar, Corporate General Manager, Indian Overseas Bank, Central Office, Chennai, here on Monday.
He inaugurated the 351st Automated Teller Machine of the bank attached to Thanjavur Main branch at 85, Market Road Extension, K.R.A. Complex.
He said that the bank has a deposit of Rs.58,810 crore and extended a loan of Rs.41,822 crores all over the country. Thanjavur region of the IOB comprising of Thanjavur and Perambalur districts has a deposit of Rs.625 crore and has given loans to the tune of Rs.497 crores.
The business in the region was to the tune of Rs.1122 crores.
R.Vaidyanathan, Chief Regional Manager, IOB, Thanjavur region, said two more ATMs would be opened.
Later, the General Manager, Chandrasekar, inaugurated the 50th training programme in agri and livestock management for women at the Rural Training Centre of the bank. R.
