New Delhi:India and Pakistan have said they are committed to cooperating on the issue of fighting terror.
The statement came after a meeting between Indian Foreign Minister Pranab Mukherjee and his Pakistani counterpart, Khurshid Mahmud Kasuri.
The meeting was held in the backdrop of blasts on the Samjhauta Express.
The two ministers said they are hopeful that the joint anti-terrorism meet on the March 6 will be meaningful.
However, responding to a question by NDTV on whether the two sides would initiate a joint investigation into the attack, Mukherjee said the probe would be the responsibility of the Indian government.
He added that New Delhi will share information on the investigation with Islamabad during the joint anti-terror mechanism meet.
The two sides have also signed an agreement on reducing the risk from accidental use of nuclear weapons.
Among other matters that were discussed today, Mukherjee has asked Kasuri to take forward New Delhi's request for allowing families of the Indian prisoners of war missing in Pakistan to visit the country.
Mukherjee also added that India is considering Pakistan's proposal for relaxation of visa norms.
