Notes:
When you send a PM to someone, there are two ways you can send it - via the popup Chat window, or by selecting their name via the dropdown (bottom left).
The person receiving the message doesn't automatically get a popup window from you - they have to open it by clicking the Chat link beside YOUR name.
In case they don't know how to do this, the private chat is also displayed in the main message window but is only visible to the people in private chat (no one else can see it).
